Kingdom Hearts 4 Devs Vow No Delay Past 2027, Show Mickey in Action
Square Enix is making a bold promise for Kingdom Hearts 4. According to reports from IGN and VGC, series creator Tetsuya Nomura and co-director Tai Yasue said it is a '100% thing' the game will not be delayed past its late 2027 launch window.
Fans got a meaty new look at the game at Disney's D23 2026 event. An extended gameplay trailer confirmed a world based on Pixar's 'Coco' and, as reported by IGN, gave a first look at playable characters King Mickey, Donald, and Goofy.
The game is also confirmed for multiple platforms, including the PS5 and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. So while a firm date is still elusive, developers are adamant the long wait is almost over.
