Kojima details Physint plot, cast, and Bill Skarsgard connection

Hideo Kojima is finally letting some details on his upcoming spy game, Physint, slip out. In a new episode of his podcast, the legendary director gave updates on the project, per IGN.
Kojima described Physint as an action-espionage title meant to commemorate his 40th year in the industry. He says it will evoke the spirit of the Metal Gear Solid series but aims to be a new experience packed with fresh ideas.
On the casting front, Kojima revealed he personally pitched the roles to all the actors, claiming 70 percent of them are fans of his work. Bill Skarsgard, Charlie Fraser, and Minami Hamabe have already had their likenesses scanned, with filming set to begin next year.
According to a separate report from GameSpot, composer Yoann "Woodkid" Lemoine, who is working on Death Stranding 2, was the one who first connected Kojima with Skarsgard. That introduction eventually led to the It star being cast as the game's lead.
Kojima is also developing OD for Microsoft, which is expected to release before Physint. He previously stated Physint is still about five or six years away from launch.
