Konami Aims for a New Silent Hill Game Every Year
The Silent Hill series may soon be a yearly fixture. Per IGN, series producer Motoi Okamoto revealed in an interview that Konami is targeting an annual release schedule for new games in the horror franchise.
Okamoto told Gamesradar the strategy is meant to avoid creative stagnation. He suggested sticking to the traditional American setting would limit narrative options and risk tiring out players.
The producer also indicated that the company has multiple Silent Hill titles in the pipeline that have yet to be announced. He said the team is exploring various projects and hopes to surprise fans with different types of experiences.
This aligns with comments from Konami president Hideki Hayakawa, who previously discussed plans to reboot the company's major IPs, including Silent Hill, by releasing new games across multiple platforms.
