Kyle Chandler's Green Lantern will be a gritty 'True Detective'-style take

A new 'True Detective'-esque Green Lantern series is coming, and it's got a very different energy. The Hollywood Reporter details how Kyle Chandler's Hal Jordan will compare to Ryan Reynolds's famously quippy take on the character.

Chandler and Aaron Pierre are starring in the upcoming 'Lanterns' series for DC. Per the outlet, the show is aiming for a grounded, investigative thriller vibe, far from the comedic tone of the 2011 film.
