Lanterns Showrunner Hopes for Season 2 as Renewal Decision Looms
The fate of HBO's DC series "Lanterns" is still up in the air, but the man steering the ship is already thinking about the future. According to JoBlo, showrunner Chris Mundy has shared his hopes for a second season.
While the series has not yet received an official renewal order from the network, Mundy indicated that he and his team are eager to continue the story. The showrunner's comments suggest plans are in place should the green light arrive.
The report comes as the series, starring Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan and Finn Wittrock as Guy Gardner, is still in its first season. The show follows the Green Lantern Corps as they investigate a mystery on Earth.
Mundy's tease is the first public indication of a potential continuation beyond the initial season. Fans will have to wait for HBO to make the final call on whether the Lanterns will shine for another round.
