Lanterns Stars Had to Shoot Season 1 on Faith, Say Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre

Stars of HBO's upcoming Lanterns series, Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre, have revealed they had to shoot the first season on pure faith. The Hollywood Reporter notes the actors had to block-shoot episodes without completed scripts, a process they describe as requiring 'a lot of faith and trust in the storyline.'

TVLine reports the duo also discussed the dynamic between their characters, Hal Jordan and John Stewart. According to them, the series premiere sets up a complicated mentorship rooted in themes of mortality.
