Latest GTA 6 leak shows NPC parodying viral 'gas in truck bed' prank
Another Grand Theft Auto 6 clip has surfaced, and this one features a direct parody of a famous 2021 internet prank. According to Kotaku, the leaked gameplay shows protagonist Jason driving to a gas station where an attendant is yelling at a man for pumping fuel directly into a bathtub in his truck bed.
The NPC shouts, "Who the f*ck are you trying to regulate me?" as Jason approaches. The footage then shows Jason stealing the truck, backing over the man, and driving off, only to cause a massive collision and explosion that triggers the classic 'Wasted' screen.
The scene is a clear reference to a viral video from 2021, where a man was filmed filling his truck bed with gasoline during a fuel shortage. That clip was later revealed to be a staged stunt. Kotaku notes this is exactly the kind of modern cultural moment the GTA series loves to lampoon.
The new leak also shows players can open the truck's hood, and features dismemberment when the NPC is run over. At the end of the clip, a prompt reading 'return to Lucia' appears, hinting the next leak may show gameplay for the game's other main character and how swapping between them works.
This 'Gas' leak is part of an ongoing series from a source calling themselves Cyberleaks, who continues to release footage despite efforts from Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two to stop it.
