'Law & Order' Season 26 swaps Reid Scott for James Badge Dale

The long-running procedural is shuffling its cast again for the upcoming season. According to TheWrap, Reid Scott is exiting the show after playing his character for multiple seasons.

His departure isn't immediate, however. TVLine reports that Scott will wrap up his character's story across a few episodes in the new season.

Stepping in is James Badge Dale, who is set to join the series as a new character. The casting switch-up is the latest for the veteran NBC drama as it heads into its 26th season.
