Lilly Wachowski Says Hollywood Won't Fund Her Trans-Led Thriller
Lilly Wachowski, co-director of 'The Matrix,' is reportedly hitting a wall trying to get her new thriller, 'The Hunted,' made. According to Variety, the project is budgeted at around $10 million and is in late-stage development.
The filmmaker claims Hollywood studios are passing on financing the movie specifically because it features a 'wall-to-wall trans cast.' Wachowski told the outlet that while people like the project, they don't want to make it due to its trans representation.
