Lord of the Rings hits a major first after 70 years

The Lord of the Rings franchise is finally breaking a long-standing tradition. For over seven decades, the on-screen adaptations have followed a familiar pattern, according to a report from ScreenRant.

What that new direction is remains a mystery, but fans should prepare for a first-ever shake-up in how Middle-earth stories are told on screen.
