Macron awards France's Legion of Honor to Lucas, Weaver, Foster, and Meledandri

French President Emmanuel Macron has pinned France's top honor on some of Hollywood's biggest names. The Legion of Honor ceremony at the Élysée Palace saw awards for Star Wars creator George Lucas and actors Sigourney Weaver and Jodie Foster.

Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri, the force behind the Despicable Me and Minions juggernaut, also received the award, per Variety. The animated franchise he shepherds has raked in over $5.7 billion worldwide.
