Mario Kart Tour service ends after final report and player data reveal

Nintendo has pulled the plug on its mobile racing title Mario Kart Tour, per Nintendo Life. Players who try to launch the game are now met with a service termination notice and a thank you message.
The company posted a final report on social media, summing up player statistics. Nintendo's official statement confirms the end of service and notes that past players can relink their Nintendo Account to retrieve old save data.
Citing data from AppMagic via Mobilegamer.biz, the report estimates the game was downloaded more than 276 million times since its 2019 launch. It reportedly generated roughly $268.5 million in lifetime revenue.
At the time its closure was announced, the title was still bringing in approximately $650k per month, with U.S. players accounting for 39% of all spending. Nintendo has stated in an FAQ that there are no plans to release an offline version of the game.
