Marshals Season 2 trailer shows Tate in danger as Kayce visits father's grave
The first full trailer for Marshals Season 2, premiering October 4 on CBS, sets up a tense conflict over the Duttons' land. Per TVLine, Kayce Dutton learns his son Tate is being used as leverage by rancher Tom Weaver, who is still trying to buy the family's East Camp.
A representative for Weaver warns Kayce his son's safety depends on accepting the renewed land offer. Tate is currently on a fishing trip with Weaver in Texas, a trip arranged after the boy witnessed violence at the camp.
Kayce is seen expressing sorrow for everything his child has endured. Tate responds that he's strong, raised in the Dutton way. Tribal chairman Thomas Rainwater offers little reassurance, telling Kayce no one can guarantee Tate will escape the ongoing violence.
The clip also shows Kayce at the grave of his father, John Dutton. He reflects that the family legacy is not about land, but about a perpetual fight for survival, a struggle that follows him everywhere.
TVLine reports the trailer confirms Andrea Cruz will remain with the Marshals team for now, despite her Season 1 departure plans. Fellow agents Cal and Belle are also shown alive and well after the first season's shootout, with a shot hinting their relationship deepens.
