Marvel adds four minutes of new footage to 'Avengers: Endgame' re-release
Marvel is putting a few more minutes on the clock for its upcoming theatrical return of 'Avengers: Endgame.' According to MovieWeb, the 'Encore' version will clock in at 185 minutes. That adds roughly four minutes of fresh material to the original 181-minute epic.
The outlet reports that the extra scenes were shot during production for the upcoming sequel 'Avengers: Doomsday.' While the studio hasn't detailed what the new footage contains, speculation points to Doctor Doom observing the events of the film's Time Heist.
It's also suggested that Steve Rogers' time-traveling finale might get extra attention, potentially linking to his reported role in the next chapter. The re-release is seen as a direct lead-in to December's 'Doomsday.'
'Avengers: Endgame Encore' is scheduled to hit theaters on September 25, 2026. 'Avengers: Doomsday' follows on December 18 of the same year.
