Marvel Zombies expands with three animated Halloween specials for Disney+
Marvel Television has announced three new animated specials for its popular 'Marvel Zombies' series, per MovieWeb. The specials will be standalone Halloween events, similar to 'Werewolf by Night'.
The first, 'Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier,' is slated to debut on Halloween in 2027. It will be followed by 'Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu' in 2028 and 'Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian' in 2029. Official logos for the three projects were revealed at New York Comic Con.
According to MovieWeb, the titles hint at the specials' potential stories. 'The Fist of Khonshu' is expected to center on the series' Blade Knight amalgamation of Moon Knight and Blade. 'The Last Guardian' suggests a storyline involving a lone Guardian of the Galaxy arriving on a zombie-quarantined Earth.
In related news reported by TheWrap, Marvel Television also showcased a logo for a new live-action spy series titled 'Zodiac,' scheduled for 2028. The logo's design shares iconography with S.H.I.E.L.D., fueling speculation it may adapt elements from Jonathan Hickman's 'Secret Warriors' comics.
The announcement of these projects comes as Marvel's live-action TV slate undergoes changes, with 'Daredevil: Born Again' set to conclude after its upcoming third season.
