Mellody Hobson grew emotional while discussing her husband George Lucas's dedication to his latest project.
According to Variety, Hobson made the remarks during a "friends and family" preview event at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles on Thursday night.
Hobson explained that she missed the earlier part of Lucas's career, as the couple began dating in 2006. She said watching him work on the museum up close was a revelation.
"I watched George up close," she said, per the outlet. She described his unwavering commitment to the museum's creation, stating, "I saw genius work."
Her comments highlighted Lucas's refusal to compromise on his vision for the new institution dedicated to narrative art.
