Michael 2 Could Start Filming Soon as Lionsgate Teases Release Date

The Michael Jackson cinematic universe is ready to moonwalk a little faster. Per ScreenRant, the planned sequel to the massive biopic has received a major production update from Lionsgate, along with a potential release date.

According to JoBlo, the studio is so eager to capitalize on the first film's record-breaking success that shooting for Michael 2 might kick off sooner than anyone anticipated. The initial movie is now officially the highest-grossing biopic of all time.

Lionsgate is clearly looking to strike while the iron is hot, hoping the sequel can capture that same lightning in a bottle. No word yet on who will be returning, but the train is officially leaving the station.
