Michael Jackson Biopic Sequel Eyes Late 2026 or Early 2027 Start
Lionsgate is officially gearing up for a follow-up to its King of Pop biopic. According to Variety, studio motion picture chief Adam Fogelson revealed plans to start filming "Michael 2" toward the end of this year or in early 2027.
The announcement came during the company's recent earnings call. The studio hopes to have the final product ready for release sometime after that production window.
This confirms that the story of Michael Jackson's life and career will continue on the big screen. The first film, simply titled "Michael," was released earlier this year.
