Michelle Pfeiffer clarifies she is not retiring from acting
Michelle Pfeiffer is shutting down retirement rumors. Appearing on *The Tonight Show*, the actress told host Jimmy Fallon that reports of her stepping away from Hollywood are "the most ridiculous thing," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
She was responding to comments she made earlier this month at a THR x Apple TV event, where she said, "I never want to star in another movie." Pfeiffer clarified to Fallon that this statement was taken out of context.
She explained that what she meant was a preference for ensemble projects over solo leading roles. "All that I said was that I really love working with an ensemble cast," Pfeiffer stated. She added, "Of course, I want to star in another movie."
The actress is coming off a successful TV year. She earned an Emmy nod for her work on Apple TV+'s *Margo's Got Money Troubles*, a show she also executive produced. Both that series and Paramount+'s *The Madison*, in which she also stars, have been picked up for more seasons.
Pfeiffer told Fallon she enjoys the longer character exploration TV allows and the chance to collaborate with many talented people.
