Microsoft Launches Xbox Backward Compatibility on PC with Four Classics
Xbox backward compatibility has finally landed on PC, per Microsoft's announcement. Starting today, four original Xbox games are available to download and play on desktop and handheld PCs for the first time.
The initial lineup includes Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Fuzion Frenzy, Conker: Live and Reloaded, and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, according to GameSpot. Kotaku reports Microsoft calls this "just the start" of its efforts to bring old Xbox games to PC.
IGN notes the feature lets you play classic console games on devices like the Xbox Ally X. VGC adds that original Xbox games will also get achievements in the future.
