Modern Warfare 4 beta dates and COD: Next event return revealed

Activision has finally spilled some details on the lead-up to Modern Warfare 4's launch, per Eurogamer. The company announced the return of its big showcase event, Call of Duty: Next, which traditionally debuts multiplayer gameplay.

Rock Paper Shotgun reports that the game's open beta is scheduled for next month. The first playtest, however, will be exclusive to players who pre-order the shooter.

The beta will also be available on the Switch 2, according to Eurogamer's report. Players will reportedly get a chance to try out a new mode called 'slaying slab'.
