Monster Hunter Rise Hits 20 Million Sales Milestone

Capcom’s Monster Hunter Rise has officially surpassed 20 million units sold worldwide, according to official sales data reported by Nintendo Life. The game, which launched as a Nintendo Switch exclusive in 2021, has now sold across all platforms.

The company released special anniversary artwork and a thank-you message to fans to mark the occasion. Per the outlet, the message read: "Monster Hunter Rise' has achieved 20 million units in total sales! To all hunters, thank you for your support!"

Nintendo Life notes that the game is currently on sale at various digital stores. The sales figures were boosted by the Sunbreak expansion and the subsequent releases on Xbox and PlayStation in 2023.

For comparison, Capcom's website lists Monster Hunter World at 22.40 million units sold as of June 30, 2026. The latest entry, Monster Hunter Wilds, had previously been reported to have sold over 11 million units since its 2025 launch.

Capcom also announced that Monster Hunter Wilds will launch on the Switch 2 this December, followed by its Ascendance expansion in 2027.
