Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega's Sundance comedy 'The Gallerist' gets a distributor

Roadside Attractions and Vertical have snapped up the rights to distribute 'The Gallerist,' a crime comedy starring Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega, according to TheWrap. The film made a splash earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.

Directed by Cathy Yan, who previously helmed 'Birds of Prey,' the movie is now slated for a December release. No further plot details were disclosed in the announcement.

The acquisition pairs the indie distributor with a star-studded project that generated significant buzz on the festival circuit. Fans of the two leading women won't have to wait too long to see them share the screen.
