Naughty Dog confirms two new The Last of Us projects are in early development

Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann has a double dose of news for fans of the infected apocalypse. In a letter marking The Last of Us Day, Druckmann confirmed the studio is working on two new projects set in that universe, according to reports from Eurogamer and GameSpot.
He stated both projects are in the "very early stages" and will "expand the canon" beyond the first two games. Druckmann emphasized the studio wouldn't return to this world unless they had "something meaningful to say," per Eurogamer.
It's worth noting, as both outlets pointed out, that Druckmann did not specify if these are new video games. The projects could potentially be other forms of media.
Separately, Druckmann gave a long-awaited update on the sci-fi title Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. He announced that Naughty Dog will be quiet about the game for the rest of the year, with a plan to "fully reveal" it in 2027, Eurogamer reports. New art for the game shows protagonist Jordan in a forest overtaken by red alien matter.
