Naughty Dog Will Fully Reveal Intergalactic in 2027

Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann used The Last of Us Day to drop some studio updates, per IGN. He confirmed the team is working on two new projects set in the world of The Last of Us, though he didn't specify if they are games.

Druckmann wrote on the studio's blog that these projects are in very early development. He stated they will expand the story beyond the events of Part I and Part II.

He also addressed the studio's next big game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Project. Druckmann said the sci-fi title will get its full reveal next year, in 2027. He described it as an extremely ambitious endeavor for the developer.

The studio head asked fans to be patient, noting the team is working hard on it but needs more time. This follows the game's absence from a recent PlayStation showcase.

In a separate note, the report mentions the HBO adaptation of The Last of Us is expected to conclude with its upcoming third season.
