Netflix Dates Danny Boyle's Rupert Murdoch Drama 'Ink' For December

Netflix has locked in its plans for Danny Boyle's hot-button tabloid drama, per Variety. The streamer will give 'Ink' a theatrical run starting December 11 before it hits the service in the U.S. and Latin America on January 8.

The film, starring Guy Pearce as media mogul Rupert Murdoch, chronicles the explosive birth of his tabloid empire. Netflix also unveiled a first look at Pearce in character.

In unrelated auteur news, director James Gray had a more humble celebration. The Hollywood Reporter notes that while accepting a career award at the Locarno festival, Gray revealed his wife reminded him to take out the trash.
