Netflix's 'Icebreaker' series fills out cast with six new regulars

Netflix's upcoming adaptation of the YA novel "Icebreaker" has added six more actors to its lineup, Variety reports exclusively.

The new series regulars include Gabriel Tierney from "Rivals" and "Enola Holmes 2," as well as Auliʻi Cravalho, known for voicing Disney's "Moana." They will play characters named Aaron and Lola, respectively.

TVLine separately announced the show's two leads. Daisy Jelley will star as ice skater Anastasia "Stassie" Allen, and Connor Simos will play hockey player Nate Hawkins.

According to an official logline provided by TVLine, the series follows a transfer student aiming for Olympic gold and a campus hockey star chasing an NHL dream. Their teams are forced to share a rink after an accident, leading to a collision that turns into obsession.

Showrunner duties will be handled by Amanda Lasher, known for "Gossip Girl" and "Riverdale." Jade Halley Bartlett is listed as creator and executive producer.

The series is based on the bestselling novel by Hannah Grace. Netflix officially ordered the adaptation in June.
