Netflix's live-action Scooby-Doo series casts Andre 3000, Cathy Moriarty
Netflix is stacking the cast for its upcoming live-action Scooby-Doo show, and Variety reports they've just added two more recurring players.
Andre "3000" Benjamin and Cathy Moriarty have joined the series, which is officially titled "Scooby-Doo: Origins." The project is currently filming in Atlanta.
According to the outlet, the series is slated for a 2027 premiere on the streaming platform.
The Mystery Inc. gang has already been cast, with Maxwell Jenkins playing Fred Jones and Tanner Hagen taking on the role of Norville 'Shaggy' Rogers. The new casting news from Variety suggests the show will feature a mix of fresh-faced leads and veteran talent in supporting roles.
The "Scooby-Doo: Origins" series aims to explore the early days of the iconic teenage detectives and their talking dog before they became a fully-fledged mystery-solving team.
