Netflix 'The Body' trailer drops for teen horror series about possessed dance team

Netflix has unleashed the first trailer for its upcoming series 'The Body,' a raunchy teen psychodrama with a Catholic horror twist, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The show centers on a group of misbehaving students on a Catholic school dance team. After a ritual initiation goes awry, the girls begin experiencing prophetic visions, sparking a wave of mass hysteria in their community.

Creator Quinn Shephard, who also acts as showrunner and helmed the premiere episode, described the series to Netflix's Tudum as "gritty camp." She said it's a playful take on her own teenage nightmares and explores "girlhood as a religious experience."

The cast includes Sofia Wylie, Kristina Bogic, and 'The Traitors' alum Gabby Windey, among others. The series is an eight-episode love letter to '90s and Y2K teen horror movies.

Viewers can sink into the debauchery and suspected demonic possession when 'The Body' begins streaming on Netflix on November 11.
