New Division 2 DLC Echoes of Central Park gets a reveal date
Ubisoft's Massive Entertainment announced a new expansion for Tom Clancy's The Division 2 at a Gamescom panel, per IGN. The upcoming downloadable content is titled 'Echoes of Central Park' and will be fully revealed on September 24.
The developers said the Manhattan-based live-service game will finally venture into Central Park itself. Players will answer a distress call from inside the park.
Massive promises the DLC will have a darker tone focused on fear and mystery. According to the report, neither players nor their in-game characters know what's inside the park or what has happened there since the game's outbreak.
The studio emphasized gameplay over pure story content, claiming the expansion will offer 'ample replayability' with 'a few twists' to give the experience a unique feel. Specific details on these gameplay changes are still pending.
