New Witcher 3 EP Drops Ahead of Songs of the Past Expansion

A fresh soundtrack sampler for the upcoming Witcher 3 DLC is now out. According to IGN, a five-song EP featuring new music composed for the Songs of the Past expansion has been released.

Composers Magda Urbanska, Marcin Pryzbylowicz, and Daniel Elms contributed to the tracks. Urbanska told IGN that working with folk music offered creative freedom, and she hoped the team preserved 'The Witcher DNA' in these pieces.

The music is described as blending orchestral writing with folk influences, vocal performances, and regional instruments. It is meant to accompany Geralt's return to the Path.

Separately, CD Projekt has detailed the patch notes for The Witcher 3: Remastered update, which launches September 29. The developer warns that system requirements have changed.

An official list of improvements breaks them into visual, combat, quality of life, and miscellaneous categories. CD Projekt stated this is the most extensive set of changes introduced at once for the game.

The list includes an overhauled skill tree, revamped combat and movement, and modernized lighting. For the Nintendo Switch 2 version, motion controls and gyro aiming are highlighted features.
