Nicolas Cage Appears to Leak True Detective Season 5 Casting

Nicolas Cage may have just spilled the beans on his next big role. During a crowded panel at New York Comic Con, the actor seemingly revealed he's joining the cast of HBO's True Detective.

According to a report from JoBlo, Cage made a comment about heading to Jamaica Bay. This location is reportedly a filming site for the upcoming fifth season of the acclaimed crime anthology.

The actor's remark was not presented as an official announcement, but as an apparent slip of the tongue during the panel discussion. HBO has not yet commented on the potential casting.

If true, this would mark Cage's first major foray into a prestige television series. The report frames the comment as a strong indication he will star in True Detective: Night Country's follow-up season.
