No Rest for the Wicked Full Release Pushed Back to March 2027
Moon Studios has put the brakes on the full launch of its action role-playing game No Rest for the Wicked. According to reports from IGN and Push Square, the 1.0 release is now scheduled for March 2027, a significant slip from its previously planned October window.
Studio head Thomas Mahler issued an apology in a video, per IGN. "I hope you folks understand that this is huge passion project of ours," he said, explaining the team wants to ensure the game launches without "silly little bugs." The developer stated the extra time will be used to improve performance and refine the class system.
The full release will arrive on PlayStation 5 and PC. Versions for other console platforms are still in the works but do not have a locked date yet, IGN reports.
As a consolation, PC players who buy the game before January 1, 2027, will receive the Founders Pack of in-game items. Push Square notes that pre-orders for the PS5 edition will open in January 2027.
PC Gamer highlighted that the studio's announcement made no reference to the impending launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, which arrives in November. The outlet speculated that avoiding that blockbuster could be a "nice side effect" of the delay, though Moon Studios did not cite it as a reason.
