Nolan's 'The Odyssey' Stirs Online Fury Over Changes to Homer

The first footage of Christopher Nolan's upcoming film 'The Odyssey' has caused a major stir online, per Variety. Some vocal critics, including Elon Musk, are reportedly upset over perceived inaccuracies compared to the original epic poem.

Variety notes that Homer's work is mythological and part of an oral tradition, inherently reshaped over time. The backlash highlights the intense scrutiny big-name adaptations face before a frame is officially released.

The online drama suggests Nolan's take will be a bold reinterpretation, not a straight page-to-screen translation. Expect more debates when the film finally sails into theaters.
