Nolan shuts down Damon's claim that 'The Odyssey' is the last big epic
The director and star of the upcoming epic 'The Odyssey' aren't seeing eye-to-eye on its place in Hollywood history. According to Variety, Matt Damon has been telling the press that the movie felt like his "last chance" to make a grand, old-school Hollywood film.
Christopher Nolan, however, is pushing back hard on that idea. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Nolan called Damon's take "defeatist" and said he simply doesn't agree with it.
Nolan didn't hold back on other topics either. In the same Variety report, the acclaimed director also took aim at the rise of AI-generated content, dismissing it as "AI slop."
