Directors Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern say the first meeting between Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher in 15 years wasn't exactly a tearjerker. The pair spoke to Variety ahead of the world premiere of their upcoming Disney+ documentary "Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger" in Venice.
According to the directors, the highly anticipated reunion between the famously feuding siblings was low on emotion. "It's the Gallaghers, it's not 'Dawson's Creek,'" Lovelace and Southern told the outlet.
The documentary chronicles the band's history and the long rift between its frontman and songwriter. The project will feature the brothers' first on-camera conversation since their split.
While specifics of what was discussed weren't detailed, the directors' comments suggest viewers shouldn't expect a dramatic, heartfelt reconciliation scene. The film is set for a global release on Disney+ in early 2025.
