Ocarina of Time Remake Supports All Zelda Amiibo, Previews Detail Dozens of Changes

The upcoming Ocarina of Time remake will support every Legend of Zelda amiibo ever released, according to IGN. A new overview trailer confirms players can tap any Zelda-themed figure for in-game bonuses like healing hearts and potions. The two new amiibo created for the remake, Young Link and Young Zelda, will grant special wearable character masks.
Physical copies of the game are currently discounted by $10 at major US retailers like Amazon and Walmart, IGN also reports. The discount brings the price to $59.88 and secures a limited-edition textured foil cover art for first-printing pre-orders.
In a detailed preview, IGN listed numerous specific changes found in the Switch 2 remake. These include an increased starting rupee wallet, redesigned puzzles and enemy behaviors, and a fully controllable third-person camera in areas like Castle Town that were previously restricted by fixed angles.
Other outlets have released their early impressions. Nintendo Life shared over 20 minutes of new gameplay footage, while Kotaku noted that hands-on previews are praising the title's streamlined controls and modern improvements.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026.
