Original PlayStation Recreated as 1:1 Scale Lego Set
A perfectly sized Lego replica of the original PlayStation console is coming next month, Eurogamer reports. Sony revealed the model during its latest State of Play showcase.
The build contains 1,911 pieces and reproduces the console's iconic design at a full 1:1 scale. It features a working disc tray, pressable buttons, and includes a separate, buildable Lego version of the original PlayStation controller.
Hidden inside are small dioramas celebrating classic games Ape Escape and Gran Turismo. Per the outlet, these can be removed and displayed separately. The PlayStation Blog post notes there are other secrets hidden within the set for builders to discover.
The set is part of PlayStation's 30th anniversary celebrations. It goes on sale October 1 via PlayStation Direct in the U.S., U.K., and multiple European countries. Lego Insiders get early access and it will be in all Lego stores starting October 4.
Pricing is set at £139.99 in the UK, €159.99 in Europe, and $179.99 in the United States.
