Outlander: Blood Of My Blood Season 2 Trailer Reveals Time Travel Turmoil
The new trailer for Season 2 of the "Outlander" prequel "Blood of My Blood" is here, and Starz says it dives into 1700s Scotland at the start of the Jacobite Uprising. According to the network, everyone has a war to fight as two young couples struggle to reunite amid battles, shifting politics, and the unpredictable magic of the Craigh Na Dun stones.
Per TVLine, the series follows the parents of the original show's leads. Jeremy Irvine and Hermione Corfield play Henry and Julia Beauchamp, parents to Claire, while Jamie Roy and Harriet Slater play Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie, parents to Jamie.
The season's logline, provided by Starz, states that the lovers are separated once again. The 1715 Jacobite Rising splits the Highlands, forcing clans to choose sides in the rebellion. Brian and his cousin Murtagh answer the call to fight alongside his father, Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat.
Meanwhile, Ellen returns to Castle Leoch where her brothers, Colum and Dougal, are feuding over their clan's response. She works on a plan to protect Clan MacKenzie no matter which side wins the uprising.
As for Henry and Julia, Starz teases they are finally reunited and want to return to their own time and their daughter, Claire. Their plan fails, parting them again. Henry grapples with his mental health while trying to find Julia, who is forced back to Castle Leathers to deal with her sinister husband, Lord Lovat.
