Pamela Anderson Reveals Hepatitis C Diagnosis Was 'A Death Sentence'

Pamela Anderson got real about a life-altering diagnosis at a major charity event.

According to Variety, the "Baywatch" star told the crowd at the amfAR Gala in Venice that she was diagnosed with hepatitis C in the late '90s. At the time, she says, there was no cure.

Anderson recalled her doctor telling her it was "a death sentence." She claimed he told her she likely had only about ten years to live.

The actress told the audience she has since been cured. She declared herself a victor, not a victim, in her powerful speech.
