Peacock sets December premiere date for animated Ted series

Peacock has officially dated its upcoming animated Ted series. According to Variety, Ted: The Animated Series will drop its first eight episodes on December 17.

Additional episodes are slated to arrive sometime in 2027.

The series is set twelve years after the events of the Ted movies. The show will follow John and his foul-mouthed teddy bear pal Ted as they navigate family life and dead-end jobs.

As previously announced, Seth MacFarlane returns to voice Ted. Per JoBlo and Variety, Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, and Jessica Barth are all back to play their characters from the films. New cast members include Kyle Mooney and Liz Richman.

The project was first announced in May 2025. It is the second Ted series on Peacock, following a live-action prequel show that ran for two seasons.
