Pedro Pascal's 'Behemoth!' to Close Newport Beach Film Festival

Pedro Pascal's new film 'Behemoth!' has been chosen as the closing night selection for this year's Newport Beach Film Festival. According to Variety, the festival will screen the film on October 22.

The movie stars Pascal as Alex Serian, a talented cellist who comes back to Los Angeles after two decades of touring. His homecoming sparks a major personal journey.

Writer and director Tony Gilroy is scheduled to attend the closing night event. Production designer Jade Healy will also be there, and both will participate in a talk before the screening.

Gregg Schwenk, the CEO of the festival, said the event was thrilled to showcase a filmmaker like Gilroy. He described the film as exploring the intense, personal cost of a life dedicated to music.

The festival runs from October 15 to 22. Its lineup includes other films like 'A Talent for Murder,' the Jimmy Stewart biopic 'Jimmy,' and 'The Only Living Pickpocket in New York.'

'Behemoth!' is set for its wider premiere on December 4.
