Philippines to remake Indonesian hit '2nd Miracle in Cell No. 7'

Philippine studio Viva Communications has picked up the rights to remake the Indonesian movie '2nd Miracle in Cell No. 7,' according to Variety.

This marks the first time an Indonesian film will officially get a Philippine adaptation.

The remake is slated to premiere on December 25 as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival.

The original film is a remake itself, based on a South Korean movie of the same name.
