PlatinumGames CEO says the studio wants to keep making Bayonetta games

PlatinumGames isn't finished with its gun-slinging witch, despite losing key creators. CEO Atsushi Inaba told Famitsu, via VGC, that the studio wants to continue the character action series.
Inaba was asked about Bayonetta's future following the departure of original figures like director Hideki Kamiya. "I can't really answer that right now," he said, per IGN. However, he added, "We have a strong desire to further develop the character of Bayonetta and expand her world."
New projects face hurdles beyond staffing. The Bayonetta franchise is co-owned by Sega and Nintendo, complicating any sequel plans. The second and third games were Nintendo exclusives.
The interview was tied to a crossover event for Shift-Up's Stellar Blade on Nintendo's next console. Platinum's most recent release was a new Ninja Gaiden title made with Team Ninja.
Platinum is currently developing a video game adaptation of a popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book story. This project was announced after a previous version was canceled.
