PlatinumGames Teases Future For Bayonetta Character

PlatinumGames has hinted at a future for the Bayonetta series, though the form it will take remains unclear. According to a report by Nintendo Life, CEO Atsushi Inaba was asked about the Umbra Witch's next move in a Famitsu interview.

When pressed for details on what's next for Bayonetta, Inaba gave a cagey response. "Well… I can’t really answer that at the moment," he said. "As for Bayonetta, I strongly feel that I want to expand her as a character and broaden her world. Please wait to see exactly what shape that will take."

The outlet notes that when asked directly about a potential new game, Inaba simply replied "no comment." His interview partner from Shift Up, Kim Hyung Tae, joked that further discussion would happen off the record.

This comes after series creator Hideki Kamiya's departure from PlatinumGames. The brief comments suggest the studio intends to continue working with the character despite his exit.
