Pokémon Bank's clock is ticking as shutdown date revealed
The Pokémon Company is officially pulling the plug on Pokémon Bank, the beloved 3DS-era storage app. Per Polygon, the service will go offline for good on February 26, 2027, giving players a firm deadline to rescue their digital creatures.
VGC reports that the app was actually delisted from stores back in 2023, but has been running as a free service since. Now, the clock is truly ticking for anyone with a collection trapped on their old handheld.
The message from The Pokémon Company is clear, according to Eurogamer: transfer everything to the modern Pokémon Home service or risk losing your pocket monsters forever. For fans who spent years building their collections, it's a bittersweet, and slightly stressful, farewell to a classic utility.
