Pokémon debuts astronaut Pikachu plushies from new space agency collab

Pokémon and the European Space Agency have teamed up to launch an official astronaut Pikachu. The new design, per ScreenRant, features the mascot in a white or blue spacesuit as part of a merchandise collection that dropped October 1.

The highlight is a pair of plush toys, each priced at $29.99 on the Pokémon Center site. One shows a male Pikachu in white, while the other depicts a female in blue. The white-suited version replicates a Pikachu doll that actually traveled to space this spring, spending over two months in orbit.

Beyond the plush, the collaboration includes themed Pokémon TCG accessories like card sleeves and a playmat, plus apparel such as T-shirts and a bomber jacket. The ESA's own shop sells separate items like posters, pins, and clothing.

The partnership also includes museum exhibitions in Europe through 2027. Additionally, Pokémon GO will feature the astronaut Pikachu in raids and timed research starting October 4.
