Pokémon Go finally delivers on its original trailer by staging a Times Square Mewtwo raid
Pokémon Go just hit a major milestone and decided to bring things full circle for its birthday bash. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the game recreated a key scene from its own original teaser, per Eurogamer.
The developers staged a special raid event last night that let players battle the legendary Mewtwo in New York's Times Square. This fulfilled a promise made in the game's very first trailer way back in 2016.
Players who took part reportedly felt like they'd stepped back in time to the game's launch summer. It was a nostalgic callback for a mobile title that defined an era of outdoor gaming.
