Pokémon Pokopia to Get Cloud Island for PokémonXP and World Championships
A new destination is coming to Pokémon Pokopia. According to a report from Nintendo Life, a special cloud island themed around the PokémonXP event and the upcoming 2026 Pokémon World Championships will be added to the game.
The Pokémon Company announced that the island will open on August 28. Players will need a code to visit, which will be distributed as part of the PokémonXP festivities happening next week.
The tease for this content came during a Preview Show for the World Championships, which is being held in San Francisco from August 28-30. Nintendo Life notes that more Pokopia news could still be revealed during the main event later this month.
Separately, Nintendo's Korean division has announced a physical retail version of the Pokopia Expansion Pass will launch in September. The game, a Switch 2 exclusive, recently surpassed five million sales and received a major update to Version 2.0.0 alongside its first DLC, 'Bubbly Basin'.
