PS4, PS5 Black Ops ports slammed as pricey, hacker-filled messes
The recent re-release of classic Call of Duty games on modern consoles is hitting major snags. According to Kotaku, the Black Ops ports on PlayStation 4 and 5 are already swarming with cheaters and hackers, creating a multiplayer environment one outlet described as reminiscent of 2012.
Push Square delivered a blistering assessment of the ports themselves, calling Black Ops 2 on PS5 a "rip-off." The review criticizes the game for being completely overpriced, lacking any technical enhancements, and requiring players to purchase DLC separately.
Essentially, players are paying top dollar for a straight port of a 14-year-old game that's now plagued with the same old problems.
